Established in 1959, 40-Mile Air is a domestic Alaskan airline, providing reliable transportation throughout the U.S. state of Alaska. The airline serves areas that are only accessible by small aircraft, providing vital connections for locals, as well as premium experiences for tourists.

The airport at Tok is small, with the terminal facilities dedicated to the airline. Passengers are advised to check-in an hour before their flight departure. Return flights from Chisana and Chicken will depart back to Tok approximately 15 minutes after landing.

Tok Junction Airport (IATA: TKJ) is a public-use airport, owned by the State of Alaska. The airport is located just one nautical mile east of the central business district of Tok. As of septiembre 202, 40-Mile Air is the only airline to operate scheduled flights from the airport.
The airline’s fleet consists of the following aircraft: 4 Super Cubs, 3 Cessna 206’s, 1 Cessna 207, 1 Cessna 185, 1 Robinson R44 helicopter, 2 Robinson Helicopters. The airline also owns a Twin engine Piper Navajo, which is fully equipped and dedicated to air ambulance flights.
