Claiming a refund for accidental death
If you, or any person(s) in your group, are unable to attend your flights due to accidental death, you will likely be eligible for a refund if you have flight insurance. This is provided that you are able to present the required evidence, and is subject to the terms and conditions of your insurance provider.
Can I claim a refund for accidental death?
If you have added flight insurance to your flight tickets when you booked through Alternative Airlines, you will be eligible for a refund in the circumstance of accidental death. As with all reasons for claiming a refund through your flight insurance when you book with Alternative Airlines, full terms and conditions will apply. Refund insurance can be claimed in the instance of your death (as the person who made the booking with us), any time up to the time of booking. A refund can also be claimed in the instance of the death of an immediate family member, or the death of any person(s) in the booking, up to 4 weeks prior to the scheduled flight departure date. To claim your refund, evidence will be required in the form of a death certificate.
