About Aerolinee Siciliane
Aerolinee Siciliane is a new scheduled passenger airline based at Comiso Airport, on the island of Sicily in Italy. From its hub at Comiso, Aerolinee Siciliane has plans to begin operating domestic and international flights to Rome and Milan, and eventually Bologna, Stuttgart, London, Paris and Tunis.
The aim of the new airline is to serve the inhabitants of Sicily by providing easy connections from the island to the rest of Italy and Europe, at affordable prices. Aerolinee Siciliane was founded by Luigi Crispino, who previously founded Air Sicilia (which ceased operations in 2004) and is currently a shareholder of Wind Jet. The new airline will also be owned by a number of local entrepreneurs, who have joined to invest in the development of the airline.
The largest island in the Mediterranean, Sicily has been without its own airline since 2012, following the demise of Wind Jet in 2012. As of enero 2021, the airline has yet to receive its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), but hopes to begin operations by the summer of 2021.

When the airline begins operations, Aerolinee Siciliane’s first routes will be from Aeroporto di Comiso to Rome and Milan, two major cities on mainland Italy. These routes will be operated at least twice daily.
