Aeromar was a self-styled "Executive Airline of Mexico" with its primary base in the noisiest city in Latin America. Aeromar of Mexico was a great choice for travellers wishing to explore Mexico within a short time limit. From its hub in Mexico City, it connected to around 22 other airports in this exciting country. These included Campeche, Cancun, Colima, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Merida, Minatitlan, Monterrey, Morelia, Oaxaca, Poza Rica, Puebla, Queretaro, Reynosa, San Luis Potosi, Tepic, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Villahermosa, Xalapa and Zacatecas.
Aeromar operated scheduled services in Mexico and international services to the USA. Aeromar's main base was at Mexico City International Airport. Aeromar Airlines' fleet consisted of ATR 42s and ATR 72s. Aeromar was a privately owned Mexican company founded in 1987 and operated an average of 100 daily flights with on-time performance above 93%. Aeromar is IOSA-certified. Aeromar had a private airport lounge called Salon Diamante. Aeromar had codeshare agreements with United Airlines and Aeromexico and previously had codeshare agreements with Mexicana and Iberia.
Aeromar ceased all its operations on febrero 15 2023, due to a financial collapse. After 35 years of flying across Mexico, the United States and Cuba, Aeromar has laid off all its employees and offered them jobs at Aeromexico and Volaris.
The Aeromar fleet was made up of 6 aircraft. Aeromar's fleet included 2 ATR 42-600s, and 4 ATR 72-600s.

Aeromar participated in the United Airlines MileagePlus program, despite not being a member of Star Alliance, of which United is currently a member. This alliance allowed passengers "Through Check-In", meaning that passengers could check-in (including baggage) from their origin to their final destination. Passengers could earn miles in United Airlines MileagePlus and could be redeemed in Mexico and more than 1,250 destinations worldwide. Miles could be also used for hotel nights, car rental and dining.
In addition, Aeromar Airlines offered complimentary access to the Diamond Lounge for all ticketed passengers. While waiting for your flight, you could enjoy personalized services offered by the lounge crew. The amenities offered in the lounge include satellite television, a snack bar, wireless internet access, flight updates and an excellent customer service. The Diamond Lounge is located in Mexico City, McAllen, Victoria, Colima, Durango, Jalapa, Manzanillo, San Luis Potosi, Tepic and Piedras Negras.
Aeromar allowed passengers to carry their personal items such as laptop as carry-on baggage (free of charge). The dimensions of the baggage could not exceed 22 x 38 x 65 cm while the weight could not be more than 10 kilos (22lbs).
For domestic routes, the luggage could not exceed 25 kg (55 lbs)/bag and 23 kg (50 lbs)/bag for international routes. When flying domestically, the luggage could not weigh more than 25 kg (55 lbs)/bag, while on international routes its could not be more than 23 kg (50 lbs)/bag. For every additional kilo (2lbs) on domestic routes, the airline charged a fee of $100 Mexican Pesos while that on international routes is the US $25. Aeromar online check-in opened 24 hours prior to departure and closed two hours prior. Web check-in was available for all passengers who are flying domestically within Mexico. Passengers flying on international flights were not permitted to check in online.
Unaccompanied minors and infants (children under 2 years old) must check in at the Aeromar desk at the airport. Passengers who were boarding an international flight can check in at the airport.
Economy Class was Aeromar's only cabin class.
Aeromar had a small but well-trained cabin crew.
Passengers were given the option to order snacks and drinks from the airline's refreshment menu, which would be offered to them during the flight.
Seats were designed to give plenty of room and space. Economy Class is set out in either a 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 formation, depending on the aircraft being used.

The Mexican regional carrier Aeromar Airlines has ceased its operations after being unable to secure financial assistance. Aeromar announced a statement on te 15th of febrero 2023 that the decision to cease its operations was due to not being able to recover from the Coronavirus global pandemic. The airline had worked with the government authorities in past years to solve financial issues, however in Aeromar was unable to continue its operations. Over 700 employees were laid of due to the airline ceasing its operations.
