Air Caraïbes is a French airline and is the regional airline of the French Caribbean of Guadeloupe and Martinique. The airline is headquartered in Les Abymes in Guadeloupe and its hub base is Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport (PTP) in Guadeloupe, with a secondary hub at Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport (FDF), near Fort-de-France in Martinique.
Air Caraïbes was founded because there was a growing necessity to cover the demand of the French Caribbean territories, a regional service was needed. By the year 2000, there was a merger of several local airlines like Air Guadeloupe, Air Martinique, Air Saint Barthélémy, Air Saint Martin and in 2002, the company flew 445,000 passengers and had €68 million in revenues. It is part of the Carib Sky Alliance, an airline alliance which comprises in addition to Air Caraïbes the following airlines: Leeward Islands Air Transport and Winair (Windward Islands Airways). The company was founded in julio 2000 through the merger of various local airlines.
Air Caraïbes flies to many destinations including Santo Domingo, Paris, Fort-de-France, Havana, Punta Carta, Saint Martin, San Salvador Island, San Diego de Cuba, Sint Maarten, Cayenne, Port-au-Prince, Pointe-a-Pitre, Grand Case and Castries. Overall, Air Caraïbes flies to just under 14 destinations
Air Caraïbes has a codeshare agreement with Liat and comprises of Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A350-900, Airbus A350-1000, ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 in its fleet.
Long haul international operations started in 2003 when a Paris - Guadeloupe and Martinique flight started service with an Airbus A330-200. The French airline Air Caraïbes, represented in the Dominican Republic for General Air Services, participated in the celebration of the "Week of France", allowing customers to know closely the time to strengthen business relations with several French companies established in the country and sectors of the Dominican public life.
In Economy "Sun" Class, you can enjoy a warm meal onboard and use the best entertainment systems on the market, with large touch screens. You can also safely use your own devices (computer, tablet, smartphone) with the new plugs. You stay entertained with around 150 hours of films as well as games available. All this is offered on your 25cm HD touch screen. Wi-Fi is available on a flight for you to stay connected to work. You can also enjoy an amenities kit to give you that little extra comfort on board.
The seats that are 42 cm wide with 31 inches of pitch and with 81cm seat spacing. USB and audio are built into these seats.
The Premium Economy "Caribbean" Class provides passengers with a more premium service. With its 30 cm touch and tilt screen, the Caribbean class offers ideal and unrivalled travel conditions for round trips between Paris and the Caribbean. In-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi is also available on premium economy.
What are the seats like?
There are 45 seats in the premium economy being 45cm wide and has 89cm seat spacing. All premium economy seats have a built-in audio jack and USB outlet. You can relax in the wide ergonomic seat and tilts at 125 degrees and has an ample amount of legroom. All seats are now equipped with footrests and complimentary leg rest on the 1st row.
Business "Madras" Class is full of comfort and ease.
Enjoy a luxurious meal on board hand prepared by the finest chefs. Be prepared to be entertained with the airlines 43cm HD touchscreen entertainment system with more than 150 hours of movies and TV shows to keep you busy during your flight. Enjoy a little more comfort with onboard amenities including a fleece blanket, a large pillow with a cotton pillowcase.
Before the flight, Business Class passengers are given dedicated check-in counter, priority boarding and baggage. In addition to this, passengers flying with Business Class are given lounge access (selected locations).
Sit back and relax in a 180 degree fully flat position, have access to a reading light and enjoy extra legroom with 155cm between seats. In addition to this, all seats have an in-built USB, electrical outlets and compatible audio jack.

Passengers are only allowed one piece of luggage per person, with maximum dimensions 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Weight allowance depends on the route travelling:
