Air Connect is a newly proposed airline in Romania. The airline has yet to announce any details on the destinations they are looking to operate, but they'd want to be one of the best turboprop airlines in the region.
When the airline begins operations in early Summer 2022, they will be flying with a fleet of ATR 72-600 aircraft. Their management team consists of former airline executives of Animawings and Blue Air.
No destinations have been announced by the airline. However, the airline is looking to offer better connectivity within Europe.
Air Connect has yet to release their baggage allowance.
Any item you carry-on must fit within the overhead lockers and under the seat. Please make sure that your belongings don't contain any prohibited items including any fluid exceeding 100ml.
Air Connect has yet to release their baggage allowance.
Due to international health and safety regulations, checked baggage must not exceed 32kg (70lbs) and not oversized. Any baggage exceeding the limit stated must be transported as cargo.
Depending on the airline policy, you may buy excess baggage on top of your baggage allowance. However, more details will disclose closer to the airline launch.
Check-in details isn't currently available.
If online check-in is available, you're advised to check-in online before arriving at the airport as it saves time from queuing at the airport.
To complete check-in, you'd need the passenger(s) details and trip details to obtain your boarding pass.
At Alternative Airlines, we recommend that you arrive at the airport 3 hours before for an international flight and 2 hours before the departure time for domestic flights. This is to avoid any disruption along the journey.
When you arrive at the airport, you should always report directly to the airport check-in counters to complete check-in and get your boarding passes. You can then relax and walk around the passenger terminal for duty-free items if you wish or simply wait at the gate.
A frequent flyer programme isn't available for the airline.
Air Connect isn't a part of an airline alliance.
Air Connect will be operating with a fleet of ATR 72-600 aircraft, a narrow-body turboprop aircraft suitable for short-medium haul flights.
It's unclear where Air Connect will be based, more information is expected to come closer to the airline launch. As the airline is looking to provide more connections within Europe, it's likely that it'd be using a domestic hub in Romania to provide the level of service required.
