Labrador Airways Limited, better known as Air Labrador, was a regional carrier based around Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The airline operated daily passenger and freight services throughout Quebec, as well as charter operations with the options of landing in remote and off strip destinations with skis, wheels and floats. Its main base was Goose Bay Airport and Its motto was "The Spirit of Flight".
The airline commenced operations in 1948, as Newfoundland Airways. One of the things Air Labrador was best known for was conducting a fantasy flight in the 1990s. Around Christmas they got Father Christmas to board the plane while it taxied the tarmac! In marzo 2009, the company announced they were ceasing flight service to Montreal due to financial trouble. In junio 2017 Air Labrador merged with Innu Mikun Airlines to form Air Borealis.

Canadian Forces Base Goose Bay Airport (IATA: YYR), otherwise referred to as CFB Goose Bay, is a Canadian Forces Base located in the municipality of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, which can be found in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Civilian flights, including scheduled flights that were operated by Air Labrador, use a smaller terminal located on Zweibrucken Crescent, a new facility which was built in 2012. Today, three airlines operate scheduled passenger flights from this terminal: Air Borealis, Air Canada Express, and PAL Airlines (formerly Provincial Airlines).

Air Labrador has merged with its fellow Canadian airline, Innu Mikun Airlines to form a brand new airline incorporating a number of the services on both airlines current route network. The new airline is named Air Borealis and began operating services on 15 junio.
With the merger, the newly found Air Borealis expects its flights options and routes will expand across Canada quite significantly in the coming years.
