Air Macau is the flag carrier of Macau and operates to many destinations within China, as well as to other parts of East Asia. The airline is based at Macau International Airport (MFM) and flies to more than 20 destinations overall.

Air Macau was founded in 1994 and flew its inaugural services in 1995, with flights from Macau to Beijing and Shanghai. Upon launch, the airline became the first airliner to offer flights in Macau since 1962.

Air Macau is owned by China National Aviation Corporation, STDM, EVA Air and the Government of Macau. Most of Air Macau's flights are across the Taiwan Strait with many flights scheduled between Macau and Taipei and Macau and Kaohsiung.

Air Macau has codeshare agreements with Air China, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines.

Baggage Policy

Air Macau has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy. Your baggage allowance will also depend on the cabin class you fly in.

Passengers are permitted one piece of free carry-on baggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg (15.4 lb). This baggage must fit within the dimensions of 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm (22" x 14.1" x 9").

In addition to this, passengers may bring a small personal item with them on board, such as a small briefcase, handbag, backpack etc.

Passengers in Economy Class are entitled to one item of free checked baggage with a maximum weight of 20 kg.

Passengers in Business Class are entitled to one item of free checked baggage with a maximum weight of 30 kg.

Infants are entitled to one item of free checked baggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg, regardless of the cabin class.

The dimensions of each checked baggage cannot exceed 158 cm (62") overall (height + width + length).

Air Macau officially has 2 cabin classes - Economy and Business class.

Economy Class offers a simple but comfortable journey and is Air Macau's most basic cabin class on offer.

Economy Class Facilities

Passengers can enjoy a warm meal on board where passengers have a choice to choose from selected menus. Hot and cold beverages are also offered on the flight.

Economy Class seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation. All Economy Class seats are reclinable and the seat pitch ranges from 29 inches to 32 inches depending on the aircraft flown on.

Business

With Business Class passengers receive a little more comfort.

Passengers are served hot meals on longer flights and have the option to order a selection of snacks and drinks on shorter flights.

Air Macau passengers can check in online prior to their flight departure time for a quick and easy airport journey.

Web Check-in

Online check-in is available on the Air Macau online check-in page. Passengers can check-in online by entering their name, details of the flight and the relevant travel documents. Online check-in closes two hours before scheduled flight departure time.

Air Macau also offer airport check-in. Passengers should check-in at the airport two hours before flight departure. The check-in airport counter will close 40 minutes before scheduled departure time unless flying from the following airports:

Beijing Airport check-in counter will close 60 minutes before scheduled departure time.

Pudong Airport check-in counter will close 50 minutes before scheduled departure time.

Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport check-in counter will close 45 minutes before scheduled departure time.

Chongqing Jiangbei Airport check-in counter will close 45 minutes before scheduled departure time.

Frequent Flyer Programme

Air Macau's frequent flyer programme is called 'Phoenix Miles'.

Air Macau operates a frequent flyer program called Phoenix Miles to reward regular passengers with the airline. Air Macau and All Nippon Airways launched frequent flyer program cooperation from julio 2010. Air Macau Privileges members will earn mileages on all scheduled flights operated by All Nippon Airways and marketed by All Nippon Airways or Air Macau and redeem Award Travel on all scheduled flights operated by All Nippon Airways.
