Historia

Aires (also known as Aerovias de Integracion Regional) was the previous name for LAN Colombia, which operated scheduled regional domestic and international services with its main base at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota. Other airlines that now fly to the airport include WingoSatena and Copa Airlines.

In 2011, AIRES airline started operations as LAN Colombia. Then in 2013, LAN Colombia became an affiliate member of the Oneworld alliance. The airline is now part of LATAM Airlines.

Baggage Policy

Aires had different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.

Equipaje de Mano

Carry-on luggage must be able to fit in the overhead compartments or under the seat in front of you.

Prohibited items, including liquids exceeding 100ml, must be placed in checked baggage. If you need to travel with liquids, they should be within 100ml containers and packed in a transparent plastic bag for security screening purposes.

Equipaje Facturado

The weight of checked baggage must not exceed 32kg in adherence to international health and safety regulations, and it should also comply with the allowed size limits.

Any checked baggage that surpasses the designated baggage allowance may be subject to additional charges or fees.

Aires passengers could either check in online or at the airport.

Aires passengers could check in online prior to their flight departure through the Aires website or mobile app.

Aires passengers were able to check in at the airport check in desks. We advised that passengers arrived well in advance for their flight in order to allow sufficient time for check-in and other necessary procedures.
