Alcohol on Flights

Whether you're flying in Economy or Business, discover which airlines serve free alcohol, as well as airlines which are completely alcohol free!

Do airlines serve Alcohol?

If you're wondering which airlines serve alcohol on board, the answer is that most major airlines offer an alcoholic drink. However, there are exceptions; some airlines are completely dry, meaning no alcohol is served. Some airlines clearly state their alcohol policy in the conditions of carriage, so travelers know exactly what to expect, but in many cases it can be rather ambiguous! Will alcohol be complimentary or will you have to pay? To help you understand what to expect onboard, we’ve done the research and composed a list of airlines that serve alcohol - you may be surprised by how many airlines serve complimentary alcohol!

We’ve also put together a list of dry airlines, which are airlines that do not serve alcohol onboard, so you know when not to expect alcohol to be available.

What airlines don't serve alcohol?

Dry Airlines

Many airlines based in predominantly Muslim countries operate as dry airlines, meaning no alcohol is served onboard. But just because an airline is based in a Muslim country, this doesnt mean that it will be a dry airline. Emirates, for example, is based in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and has recently invested over $500 million in wine and has a massive wine-storage facility in France.

Alcohol is not served on the following airlines:

AIRLINE COUNTRY FROM
Saudi Arabian Airlines Saudi Arabia
Egyptair Egypt
Iran Air Iran
Royal Brunei Airlines Brunei
Kuwait Airways Kuwait
Air Arabia United Arab Emirates
Turkish Airlines (Domestic) Turkey
Iraqi Airways Iraq
