Amaszonas, (also known as the official name of Línea Aérea Amaszonas) is a Bolivian based airline, headquartered in La Paz, Bolivia. It currently operates scheduled and chartered short-haul passenger flights throughout the northern and northeastern regions of the country as well as to neighbouring Peru, with its network's hub being located at El Alto International Airport.
The airline was founded on 1 octubre 1998, but flight services were only commenced in 2000. Initially only operating chartered services using a small fleet of turboprop aircraft, it grew in 2012 and acquired larger aircraft offing scheduled passengers services.
In agosto 2021 it was announced that the airline has been acquired by US-based Nella Airlines Inc, but will remain operational. The international group identified an opportunity to acquire Amaszonas and integrate the airline into the company's plan for growth in Latin America.
The Bolivian airline flies to destinations across Bolivia, including the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires, Cochabamba, Oruro, Sucre, Tarija, and Uyuni. The following list of destinations is accurate as of 2021:

Internacional
Although the airline primarily operates domestically in Bolivia, it also flies to Asuncion, in Paraguay, and Iquique, in Chile. It owns Amaszonas Uruguay, which flies to Uruguay, but these operations have been dormant during the Coronavirus pandemic. It is not yet known whether these flights will be resumed. After the bankruptcy of Alas Uruguay, the airline was one of the few airlines left offering services to Montevideo.

Amaszonas Economy Class es la única clase de cabina de la aerolínea que ofrece.
No hay un sistema de entretenimiento a bordo en el vuelo. Sin embargo, los pasajeros pueden recibir una copia de la revista de a bordo de la aerolínea, dependiendo de la ruta volada.
La aerolínea sirve una pequeña selección de alimentos y bebidas a bordo.

For carry-on baggage, Amazonas allows baggage up to 5kg or 30 cm x 20 cm x 27 cm. Checked in baggage must not exceed 20kg for adult and 10kg for children from 2 to 12 years.
For domestic flights, passengers are entitled to 20Kg of complimentary checked baggage allowance. On international flights, passengers are entitled to 23Kg of complimentary checked baggage.

As of 2021, Amaszonas currently operates one CRJ100LR, six CRJ200LRs, one DHC-8-200, one DHC-8-Q200, and six E190s. During the COVID-19 pandemic, its only active aircraft were four of the Embraer regional jets.

Nella Airlines (NELLA Airlines) Inc has acquired a 100% stake in Amaszonas. This news was announced in agosto 2021. The U.S. based group has committed to financing the Bolivian carrier's post-COVID recovery and restructuring, and its part of the company's ambitions to grow further in Latin America.
