Animawings is a Romanian airline founded in 2019, serving many destinations in Europe and Africa with a fleet of Airbus 320-200 aircraft. The airline is based at Henri Coanda International Airport in Bucharest, Romania. Animawings operates over 50 flights a week.
Not long after the launch of the airline, Aegean Airlines decided to acquire 25% stake in Animawings and the rest is owned by the Memento Group. It was in julio 2020, when the airline obtained its Air Operating Certificate (AOC) and initiated its maiden flight. Since then, the airline has been selling both scheduled and charter flights to its destinations.
Animawings is flying to over 20 destinations in Europe and Africa, including destinations in Greece, Thailand, Romania, Morocco, Italy, Kenya, Spain and Egpyt.

Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) is the busiest international airport in Otopeni, Romania. It's one of the three airports serving the capital of Romania, the other two being Aurel Vlaicu Airport and Constantin Brancusi Airport. The airport is a hub airport for Blue Air, AirConnect and TAROM as well as Animawings.
The airport has two active runways and a passenger terminal to accommodate around 14 million passengers per year. Airlines flying to and from the airport include Aeroflot, Air France, British Airways, El Al, Eurowings, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Turkish Airlines and Wizz Air. The airport may also soon be a hub for the new Romanian airline Flyworld Airways.
Animawings' fleet is consisting the Airbus 320-200, a twin-engine narrow-body jet. This aircraft could accommodate up to 174 seats and the seat configuration on this aircraft is 3 x 3. The airline is also looking to lease an aircraft from Aegean Airlines including the A321neo.
