Baggage Policy

Aviair has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.

Equipaje de Mano

Passengers are entitled to one hand luggage onboard the aircraft as the aircraft that the airline deploys aren't fitted with overhead bins. This carry-on baggage cannot exceed 40cm x 20cm x 30cm in three dimensions and cannot be heavier than 4kg.

No prohibited items are allowed onboard the aircraft including fluid exceeding 100ml. Any prohibited items found by airport security would be confiscated.

Please also note that some aircraft may have more restrictions on hand luggage allowance, contact the airline for more information.

Equipaje Facturado

One checked baggage is permitted for every fare-paying passenger. This checked baggage cannot exceed 15kg in weight and it cannot be oversized.

Any passenger requiring excess baggage must inform the airline accordingly. However, any baggage exceeding 25kg in weight will not be accepted by the airline and the carriage of any baggage outside the checked baggage allowance would depend on the judgement of the airline.

Cabin Classes

There is on one seating class available: Standard (Economy). There are up to 30 seats on the aircraft. All seats have padded headrests, with ample storage in the overhead bins above the seats. The flights are only short, as the airline only operates regional flights, so facilities and services are limited onboard the flight.

Check-in

Aviair passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check in.

Online Check-in

Online check-in is not currently available. All passenger must check-in at the airport.

Airport check-in counters close 30 minutes before the published departure time. Failure to check-in on time might be denied boarding. Please present your valid identification upon check-in to verify your identity.

When passengers arrive at the airport, passengers must proceed to the designated area in order to check-in for the flight. The designated check-in area should be indicated on the departure information board or from the signs. Please leave plenty of time to locate these areas if you are not familiar with the airport layout.

At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers to arrive at the airport one hour and 30 minutes before departure to avoid any unexpected delays.

Cancellation Policy

Aviair flights are non-refundable and restrictions apply when passengers want to do amendments.

However, you can add Cancellation Protection to your Aviair when you buy your flights with Alternative Airlines. You would be entitled to a full refund if you cannot travel due to any emergency circumstances listed on our cancellation policy. These emergency circumstances include illness, adverse weather, redundancy and many other reasons. Cancellation Protection covers you for a refund regardless of the fare you've purchased, giving you peace of mind in case you cannot travel due to emergency circumstances.

Destinations that Aviair flies to

As of febrero 2022, Aviair flies to eight destinations domestically, including Balgo, Broome, Halls Creek, Kalumburu, Karratha, Kununurra, Newman and Port Hedland. At Kununurra Airport, Broome airport and Karratha Airport, the airline has its own private terminals. In 2021 the airline also added Derby to its route network.
