Beond is an airline start-up planning to launch at the beginning of 2023. The airline is planning to fly directly from the Maldives to over 60 destinations across the globe including Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. BeOnd will begin flying to destinations such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Paris, Taipei, Vienna and many more!
Beond is the first airline to launch a luxury airline in the Maldives - the airline offers business class only. The airline aims to provide luxurious passenger flights around the world as well as provide more direct flights to/from the Maldives, making it easy for tourists to visit.
Destinos
Beond is looking to fly to over 60 destinations globally. Beond will begin its operations in Dubai, Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Paris, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, Vienna, and Zurich. The airline will continue to expand its destinations later on.
Baggage Policy

Most airlines allow you to bring free carry-on baggage (H56cm x W45cm x D25cm) and a small personal item on long-haul flights. However, on short-haul flights, if you wish to bring a carry-on bag you may be charged. Beond hasn't announced its information on carry-on baggage, but you'll likely be able to bring a small personal item such as a laptop case or a tote bag.
Please make sure that you don't pack any prohibited items in your carry-on baggage, this includes any liquids over 100ml. Any prohibited items found by airport security will be removed and disposed of.

Beond hasn't announced its checked baggage information yet. Your baggage allowance will depend on the fare class you purchased at the time of booking. Even though the information on checked baggage hasn't been realised yet, most airlines that offer international flights let you bring free checked baggage that will be included in the flight price. But, on domestic flights, airlines will usually charge you for checked baggage which will range from 24kg-32kg.
The maximum weight on international flights must not exceed 32kg due to health and safety regulations.

Online Check-In
Beond will offer online check-in for you to complete at home before your flight departure time. Many airlines allow you to check in from 30 days to 24 hours before your flight. More information on online check-in will be available as soon as Beond begins its operations.

Beond offers a spacious interior with premium comfort seats for you to relax easily during your flight. The all-premium seats are set out in a 2-2 configuration. You can lounge in recliner seats or choose to lie flat.

Velana International Airport (VIA) is the main international airport in the Maldives. The airport is located on Hulhulé Island in the North Malé Atoll. This airport is well connected with major airports across the globe, in which it serves as the main gateway into the Maldives.
The airport has one single runway (60m x 3,400m). Velana International Airport has 3 terminals: International Terminal, the Domestic Terminal and the water-drome Seaplane Terminal. The Waterdrome Seaplane Terminal opened in octubre 2022 - the terminal can now accommodate over 100 seaplanes and operate 300 daily flights increasing to 600 flights during peak season.
As well as Beond, this airport is also a hub for Maldivian and Trans Maldivian Airways. Other airlines that fly from this airport include Wizz Air, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa and many more!
