BermudAir is a new start-up airline based in Bermuda in the North Atlantic Ocean. The airline plans to operate flights between Bermuda and the United States from agosto 2023 after being granted its air operator's certificate by the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority.

BermudAir is awaiting its application for an exemption and US foreign air carrier permit.

The airline will likely start commercial services with the Embraer E175 in an executive layout as it plans to operate an all-business class service.

BermudAir was founded by its CEO, Adam Scott, and its CFO, John Bavister, who are also behind Odyssey Airlines (another start-up that intended to operate all-business class flights from London).

Planned Destinations

BermudAir has announced it will begin operations with 3 routes between Bermuda and the USA:

Boston to/from Bermuda - once per day, 6 days a week

Fort Lauderdale to/from Bermuda - once per day, 6 days a week

White Plains to/from Bermuda - twice a day, 6 days a week

Equipaje

The airline hasn't launched yet therefore information on its baggage policies isn't currently available. BermudAir plans to operate an all-business class service on 30-seater Embraer E175 aircraft.

This indicates that the airline may allow passengers to bring one carry-on bag weighing up to 7-10kg and one checked bag weighing no more than 23-25kg.

Cabin Classes

BermudAir has stated it will operate an all-business class service. This means there will not be any economy or premium economy fares.

The aircraft will have 30 business-class seats. There will be 15 rows of seats in a 1 x 1 configuration. It wants to provide a private jet-like experience for passengers who wish to travel in style between the US and Bermuda.

Entretenimiento en vuelo

BermudAir hasn't launched yet therefore it's unknown whether it will provide in-flight entertainment onboard its flight. The flights it plans to operate will be short-haul (possibly up to 2 hours) meaning it may not offer in-flight entertainment, however, it will operate an all-business service therefore personal screens may be available for accessing movies, TV shows and more.

To keep yourself entertained during your flight, we recommend bringing your own forms of entertainment such as a book to read or movies to watch on your personal device.

Food and Drink

BermudAir hasn't announced whether it will have a meal service on board or not. Its initial flights will be short-haul, therefore, meals may not be provided but snacks/beverages can be purchased from the in-flight menu.

Información de registro

Check-in information for BermudAir flights isn't available yet because the airline still hasn't launched. It's not known whether BermudAir will provide an online check-in procedure when it launches.

As a general rule, when checking in at the airport, please arrive at the airport at least 2-3 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. This is to ensure you have enough time to check in, clear security and reach your boarding gate.

Aeropuerto Principal

L.F. Wade International Airport

BermudAir hasn't announced what airport it will be based at however it is highly likely it will choose L.F. Wade International Airport as its hub airport.

L.F. Wade International Airport, formerly known as Bermuda International Airport, is the only airport that serves Bermuda in the North Atlantic Ocean. It has one passenger terminal, one cargo terminal and eight aircraft stands. The airport currently serves airlines such as Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, JetBlue and Delta Air Lines, among others.

Flota

BermudAir will operate its flights with 2 x Embraer E175s. These will have 30 business-class seats - 15 rows with a 1 x 1 configuration.

The E175s that BermudAir will be using have been acquired from a leasing company called Azorra. They used to operate flights for Flybe (which has now ceased operations) and are already in BermudAir's possession, with one of the aircraft already using the BermudAir livery.
