Colorado Springs Airport (IATA: COS) also known as City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, is a city-owned public civil-military that serves 1.7 million passengers each year. The airport opened in 1927 and serves cities within the United States. The airport has an area of 7,200 acres and owns three runways. 

The airport is the second busiest commercial service airport in the state. Peterson Air Force Base is placed on the north side of runway 13/31 and rents the land from the airport. Colorado Springs currently uses on 4 airline carriers to have non-stop flights to 17 U.S. cities (Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver. Minneapolis - Saint Paul, Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Atlanta, Orlando and Washington DC.).

Terminals

 

Main Terminal

The main terminal consists of concourses, the larger concourse hosts gates numbering from 1 to 12 and are currently being used for commercial use. The second concourse which is known as called the Western Pacific Airlines concourse has numbering from 14 to18, there is no gate 13, however, and is now mainly used for meetings. 

The airport's main terminal has been under renovation since septiembre 2011, this consists of the reconstruction of the TSA checkpoint to support full-body scanners, new facilities for automated baggage screening, and expansion of office space behind the ticket counters.

By Road
