A domestic flight, otherwise known as an internal flight, is a flight which takes off and lands in the same country.
They are often a more convenient and quicker way of getting around a country such as France, especially if you want to be in an area which is near an airport. An example would be a flight which takes off from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and lands in Nantes Atlantique Airport with a flight duration time of an hour and 5 minutes.
These type of flights are often cheaper than other modes of transport, with car hire or train travel often costing more. Domestic flights are also often cheaper than international flights, generally due to their shorter duration times and costs. Some popular airlines that operate internal flights are Air France (the national flag carrier), La Compagnie, Transavia France and Corsair International.
