Historia

Express Airways was a Slovenian airline which was headquartered and based in Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport (MBX), Slovenia, and also a German branch of the airline which was based in Dusseldorf, Germany. Express Airways was founded in 1999 and operated 3 leisure flights from Germany to Croatia, Italy, and Spain.

In 2012, Express Airways founded a flight training school in Slovenia and since then has also offered passenger flights. Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport is an international airport in Maribor Slovenia. Opened in mayo 1976, the airport is the second largest airport in Slovenia and is located nearly 10 kilometers south of Maribor. The airport has become a flight training center for many European airlines in recent years.

In marzo 2016, the airline’s operations license was removed by the Slovenian aviation authority, forcing them to cease operations.
