Do I need a visa for the Miami Grand Prix?
People travelling to the state of Florida for the Miami Grand Prix might need to obtain a visa or a visa waiver. Whether you'll need a visa will depend on your country of citizenship, the purpose of your visit and how long you decide to stay for.
Visa Waiver Program
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) allows people from certain countries to visit Florida without a Visa for 90 days or less, which makes it a great option if you're flying for the Miami Grand Prix. There are currently 38 participating countries and residents must have an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA).
Tourist & Visitor Visa
If you are unable to gain an ESTA, you might be able to fly to Florida for the Miami Grand Prix on a 'B' category visa. The B1 visa is given out for business purposes, while the B2 visa is given out specifically for tourism purposes. In order to obtain a B2 visa, you'll be required to make an Online Visa Application (DS-160) and pay a small fee. You'll also be required to schedule an interview with the US Embassy in your country of residence.
