About flyadeal
flyadeal is a low-cost airline based at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This Saudi airline is the sister company of Saudi's national flag carrier, Saudia.
The airline was first created in April 2016, and was set up and commenced operations in September 2017 with a flight from Jeddah to Riyadh. The airline prides themselves on being low-cost yet high-value, meaning they operate a different business model to sister company Saudia. Similarly, their flights are aimed to serve domestic travellers, those searching for Hajj or Umrah flights and of course the rising numbers of tourists visiting the country.
The Fleet
The table below summarises the current state of the flyadeal fleet. It is currently (correct of November 2019) a fleet consisting of all Airbus A320-200 aircraft, three of which are on a short term lease from Vueling. In July 2019, the airline announced that they are ordering 30 Airbus A320neo, details of which are yet to be announced.

flyadeal Baggage
Carry-on Baggage
The baggage allowance for flyadeal passengers includes one piece of carry-on baggage weighing 7kg or less. Carry-on baggage should not exceed 55cm x 35cm x 25cm for dimensions. Passengers travelling with infants are also permitted to bring one personal item onto their flight as long as it is able to fit underneath the seat in front of them.
Checked Baggage
flyadeal's fly fares does not include free checked baggage allowance. Checked baggage can be booked via the flyadeal Manage Booking page.
Those passengers who have purchased a fly+ fare are able to check one bag with a maximum weight of 25kg. Passengers are encouraged to pre-pay for any extra baggage before arriving at the airport to avoid paying excess baggage fees at the airport.

Flyadeal encourages passengers to arrive at least 90 minutes before there flights when checking in at the airport. The flyadeal check-in desk closes 20 minutes before flight departure.

King Abdulaziz International Airport
This airport is one of the busiest airports in Saudi Arabia for both passenger and cargo flights. The airport is hub for Saudia and Flynas. There is only one class of cabin onboard flyadeal planes; economy. However, passengers are able to personalise their experience based on where they choose to sit on the plane. This airline operates a low-cost business model, meaning that passengers only pay for what they want on board, including baggage services and food or drink.

Seating
Passengers can relax in comfortable and convenient seats, which are designed to maximise comfort while fulfilling the aim of the airline, which is to reduce costs for the customer. Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 configuration.
Certain seats have more legroom than others with an increased seat pitch of 38 inches in first row and super extra legroom seats, or 30 inches in rows 2 to 4. Passengers can select these to personalise their experience.

flyadeal In-Flight Entertainment
One way that flyadeal are able to offer low-cost flights is by cutting out non-essentials of flying, such as providing an in-flight entertainment system. However, this does not mean that you have to go without entertainment. flyadeal allow passengers to bring their own devices on board and keep them charged with the USB ports in the seats. In addition, there are unique holders in every seat where you can securely place your phone or tablet and watch your own entertainment at comfortable viewing height.

Ladies Old Seats
flyadeal offer rows in their cabin which are designed for women to have more privacy. These women-only seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis wherever possible, but occasionally they may be used by other customers due to operational requirements.
Passengers with reduced mobility
Passengers can request a wheelchair service which will provide wheelchair assistance at the airport up to the door of the aircraft. Passengers can check-in their own manual folding wheelchair as hold luggage, for no additional fee.
Expectant Mothers
Passengers are allowed to fly when pregnant up to and including their 32nd week of pregnancy. However if you are between 28-32 weeks pregnant, you must produce a medical form from your doctor.
Assistance Dogs
Passengers with assistance dogs are allowed to travel with their companion, however, the passenger must phone the airline at least 14 days before the flight to arrange the assistance. There is no fee for this service, however the assistance dog must meet certain requirements.

Flyadeal to add 10 aircraft per year
The Saudi Arabian airline, Flyadeal, is looking towards a future of regional routes with its strong low-cost growth plan. The company has announced intentions to expand its fleet by 8-10 aircraft every year as it sets its eyes on international flights, as well as low-cost regional options. The airline, which launched operations in September 2017, currently has eight leased Airbus A320 aircraft in its fleet and expects to receive three more before the end of this year. There are rumours that Flyadeal is in talks over a possible 50 new aircraft in the next 5 years.
