Fly Peru Update

Fly Peru is a new airline, currently in the early stages of startup, and may not commence flights until 2022. In the meantime, if you’re looking for flights within Peru, you can take a look at our list of alternative airlines below, or visit our guide to domestic flights within Peru.


About Fly Peru

Fly Perú is a new startup airline, with plans to operate domestic flights in the South American country of Peru. The airline will be based at Lima’s International Airport (LIM), with secondary hubs at Lib Mandy Metropolitano Airport (Lima) and Las Dunas Airport (ICA). Fly Perú will operate an extensive network of flights throughout all 24 of Peru’s provinces.

As well as scheduled passenger flights, Fly Perú will also provide domestic cargo and mail operations.

Fly Peru received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Peruvian Government in mayo 2021. We’ll keep this page updated with the latest information, but currently the information available is very limited as the airline continues to establish itself.

According to Fly Peru’s AOC, the airline will be based at Lima’s International Airport (LIM), and will also operate from Lib Mandy Metropolitano Airport (Lima) and Las Dunas Airport (ICA). From these hubs, the airline will operate domestic flights serving all 24 of Peru’s provinces. Further information regarding airports/cities has yet to be announced.

Fly Peru hasn't announced any carry-on baggage allowance yet. But carry-on baggage will need to fit in the overhead lockers, or under the seat in front. No prohibited items can be carried in carry-on baggage, or they may be confiscated at the airport.

Fly Peru has yet to announce what the checked baggage allowance will be for passengers. But due to international health and safety regulations, checked baggage cannot weigh over 32kg.

Flota

The airline has yet to state what aircraft it intends on operating. As a domestic carrier, it is likely that the airline will operate a medium-range jet. Potential aircraft include: an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737. Other aircraft options include a fleet of ATR 42/72, De Havilland, or Embraer E-Jet aircraft.

Lima International Airport (LIM)

Jorge Chávez International Airport (IATA: LIM), also known as Lima Airport or Lima International Airport, is Peru's main international and domestic airport. The airport is located in Callao, 7 miles from the centre of the country’s capital city of Lima. Today, the airport serves as a hub for the following airlines: ATSA Airlines, LATAM Perú, Sky Airline Peru, Star Perú, and Viva Air Perú. LATAM is the largest airline based at the airport, operate an extensive network of domestic and international flights.
