About Fly Sax

Fly-SAX was a Kenyan airline based at Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Kenya’s premier safari and private charter airline can offer a variety of destinations including Kenya, Kitale, Lamu, Lokichogio, Maasai Mara, Malindi, Mombasa, Nairobi – flown from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Hub, Nairo Wilson Airport.

Fly-SAX was originally named as East African Safari Air and was rebranded to Fly-SAX in 2010 after the airline was purchased by its parent company, the Kenyan airline Fly540. In 2019, it was announced that the airline would be rebranded as EastAfrican. Fly Sax operates flights to Comoros in Moroni, other airlines flying to the region include AB Aviation and Comores Aviation International


Economy Class

Economy Facilities

Currently, Fly Sax offers one class fare on its flights: the standard economy. The airline's professionally team will be on-hand to help throughout the duration of the flight.

Onboard passengers can enjoy a range of complimentary refreshments. Light refreshments (water and sandwiches) are available on all of our flights. For regional routes (Comoros), breakfast and lunch are also provided. Due to restrictions imposed by the Kenya Airports Authority, passengers are not allowed to board the aircraft with their own food and drink.

Fly Sax has its own Fly-SAX café where passengers can sit and relax with a range of refreshments before boarding their flight.

Economy Seats

The Economy Class cabin has comfortable and spacious seating with a good amount of legroom.  Seats are set out in either a 2 x 3 or 3 x 3 formation.

Carry-on Baggage

Checked Baggage

Each passenger also has a free allowance of standard checked-in hold baggage to a maximum weight of 20kgs. PLEASE NOTE: For safari destinations, serviced by smaller aircraft, the maximum baggage allowance is in total 15kg (including hand luggage) per passenger. In addition, only soft cases are permitted. Additional luggage is subject an excess charge of $150 per kg.

The airport has scheduled flights to destinations in over 50 countries. It also acts as a hub for Fly540 and African Express Airways. The Airport has one runaway and can handle nearly 6 million passengers every year.
