About flydubai

flydubai is a low-cost airline with its head office and flight operations in Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport. The airline was officially set up in marzo 2008 by the Government of Dubai, forming the city's first low-cost airline, and in junio 2009 flew its first commercial flight to Beirut. Today, the airline operates more than 1,400 flights a week with over 500 pilots and 1,000 cabin crew.

flydubai airline flies between over 95 destinations: serving the Middle East, North Africa, East Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Asia and Europe from Dubai. These destinations include Abha, Alexandria, Amsara, Astana, Bahrain, Madinah, Lucknow, Lar, Kuwait, Krasnodar, Multan, Mumbai, Muscat, Mattala, Colombo, Dammam, Dar es Salaam, Delhi, Dhaka, Salalah, Shiraz, Sialkhot, Skopje, Sofia, Quetta, Najaf, Kiev, Kochi, Kabul, Karachi, Jeddah, Jouf, Istanul and many others. The airline has a fleet of Boeing family aircraft. flydubai has over 60 aircraft, which are a mix of different Boeing models.


Baggage Allowances

Economy Class Carry-on Baggage

The Economy Class cabin bag allowance is one item with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, and maximum weight of 7kg. If travelling with an infant, passengers are allowed to bring one extra bag.

Business Class Carry-on Baggage

The Busines Class cabin bag allowance is two items, each with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, and a total maximum weight of 15kg. If travelling with an infant, passengers are allowed to bring one extra bag.

Economy Class Checked Baggage

Passengers can pre-pay to check in 20kg of baggage on any flight. Each piece of baggage has to weigh up to 32kg.

Business Class Checked Baggage

Check in up to 3 x pieces of baggage with a combined weight of 40kg. Each piece of baggage must weigh 32kg or less and be smaller than 75cm x 55cm x 35cm.

Excess Baggage

Overweight and oversized baggage will be incur an additional charge, and are split by the airline into four different categories (zones). Passengers can transfer their baggage to connecting Emirates and flydubai flights when checking-in.




Web Check-in

Passengers using online check-in for their flight can check in anytime between 24 hours and 90 minutes before their flight departures. Please use the flydubai online check-in page.


Airport Check-in

Passengers can check-in at the airport at the flydubai check-in desks. The check-in desks are open from 3 hours before flight departure and close 60 minutes before flight departure.


Those departing from Dubai can use self-service kiosks to check in to their flight. The self-service kiosks open 4 hours before flight departure time and close 1 hour before.


In-flight Entertainment

Economy Class passengers can purchase the premium entertainment package. You'll be able to choose from a wide selection of TV shows, music, games and much more. Business Class passengers can enjoy TV shows, movies and games included in their ticket fare.


The airline offers passengers great TV shows to enjoy during their flight with their premium entertainment package.


Passengers that have purchased the premium entertainment package can help time pass on their flight with a range of fantastic movies.

The Economy Class promises comfort, affordability, relaxation and space throughout your journey in Economy Class. 


Economy Class Facilities

Beverages and snacks are included in flydubai's facilities. on selected flights you can pre-order hot meals which you can do with Alternative Airlines.

Entertainment is also included, with each seat fitted with a HD touchscreen and offering Bollywood, Hollywood and international films to enjoy as well as TV shows, new, music and games. You can also pre-order premium entertainment at a fee.

Wi-Fi is also available on the aircraft and you can pre-order WiFi package on board.


Economy Class Seating

The seating is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort with a seat pocket included and legroom. You can select your seat with more legroom for a small extra fee.

Business Class Facilities

Business Class passengers have access to dedicated check-in desks, and, at selected airports, a priority service for fast-tracking through both security and baggage collection. If you’re flying from Dubai International Airport (DXB), head to the Business Lounge in Terminal 2. Set across two floors, the exclusive space offers hot and cold food and free WiFi.

Business Class Seating

Aboard the Boeing 737-800 aircraft Business seats are crafted from Italian Leather and offer wider chairs and legroom. Aboard the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, Business seats recline to a flatbed position and also convert into a personal office, with fold out desk. All business seats have personal touch screen TVs, with refreshments and internationally-inspired meals served.

Dubai International Airport

Dubai International Airport, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the world’s busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic. 2017 saw this airport handle 88 million passengers, and 2.65 million tonnes of cargo, all from 409,492 aircraft movements. The airport was first opened in 1960, with it’s expansion beginning in 1998. Dubai airport has a great selection of restaurants and shops in each terminal.

The airport is the hub for flydubai and also Emirates, with other airlines running services here including China Southern Airlines, Air India, Airblue, Cebu Pacific, IndiGo JetLite and ,PAL Express and SpiceJet.

Flydubai launches routes to Italy and Russia

In June (2019)flydubai (FZ) added Sochi (AER) in Russia to the list of its destinations. The airline is now, also, the first airline to operate a route between Dubai (DXB) and Naples (NAP).

Italia se agregó a la red de flydubai

Vuelos diarios directos entre Italia y Dubai han sido lanzados por flydubai. Esto conecta su capacidad de carga aérea de ombudsines en esta ruta con más de 100 destinos de la red de la aerolínea en Asia, África, Medio Oriente y Europa. Los vuelos serán operados por B737- 800 max.

FlyDubai Cargo said in a statement, "We're continuously growing our fleet of Boeing 737-800s to expand our network and increase frequencies.Our fleet will continue to grow as we receive delivery of aircraft from the order announced at the Dubai Airshow in 2013. This order was for 75 737 MAX 8s and 11 Next Generation".
