Flydubai is a low-cost international airline with its head office in Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport. The airline was officially set up in marzo 2008 by the Government of Dubai, forming the city's first low-cost airline. The airline flew its first commercial flight in junio 2009 to Beirut.

Economy Class: The Economy Class cabin bag allowance is one item with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, and maximum weight of 7kg. If travelling with an infant, passengers are allowed to bring one extra bag.
Business Class: The Business Class cabin bag allowance is two items, each with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, and a total maximum weight of 14kg. If travelling with an infant, passengers are allowed to bring one extra bag.
Economy Class: Economy class does not include any checked baggage, however, it can be purchased ahead of flying. Passengers can purchase up to 3, of weights of 20kg, 30kg or 40kg. The maximum size of these must not exceed 75 x 55 x 35cm.
Business Class: Check-in up to 3 x pieces of baggage with a combined weight of 40kg. Each piece of baggage must weigh 32kg or less and be smaller than 75cm x 55cm x 35cm.
Overweight and oversized baggage will incur an additional charge, and are split by the airline into four different categories (zones). Passengers can transfer their baggage to connecting Emirates and flydubai flights when checking-in.
Passengers using online check-in for their flight can check in anytime between 48 hours and 90 minutes before their flight departures. Please use the flydubai online check-in page.
Passengers can check-in at the airport at the flydubai check-in desks. The check-in desks are open from 3 hours before flight departure and close 60 minutes before the flight departure.
Those departing from Dubai (DXB) can use self-service kiosks to check in to their flight. The self-service kiosks open 4 hours before flight departure time and close 1 hour before.
The Economy Class promises comfort, affordability, relaxation and space throughout your journey in Economy Class.
The cabins in economy are spacious and bright. Beverages and snacks are included in economy on the Value or Flex fares.
The seating is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort with a seat pocket and in-seat personal entertainment device included. Legroom is ample to stretch out and relax, but you can alternatively purchase your seat with more legroom for a small extra fee.
There is no premium economy cabin on board flydubai planes.

Business Class passengers have access to dedicated speedy check-in desks, and, at selected airports, a priority service for fast-tracking through both security and baggage collection. If you’re flying from Dubai International Airport (DXB), head to the Business Lounge in Terminal 2. Set across two floors, the exclusive space offers hot and cold food, with free WiFi.
Aboard the Boeing 737-800 aircraft Business seats are crafted from Italian Leather and offer wider chairs and legroom. Aboard the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, Business seats recline to a flatbed position and also convert into a personal office, with fold-out desk. All business seats have personal touch screen TVs, with refreshments and internationally-inspired meals served.
Currently, flydubai does not have a first-class cabin onboard their planes.
Economy Class passengers can purchase the premium entertainment package. You'll be able to choose from a wide selection of TV shows, music, games and much more. Business Class passengers can enjoy TV shows, movies and games included in their ticket fare.

Passengers flying in economy class on a Value or Flex fare can enjoy complimentary food on board. Passengers with a Lite ticket can pre-order food online before travel, or purchase food on board from a selection of light meals, snacks and beverages.
Passengers in business class can enjoy a selection of food whilst cruising in the sky. Food options include a variety of authentic cuisines but will differ depending on the duration and destination of your flight.
flydubai has begun to introduce WiFi on board most of its fleet, meaning passengers can browse the web and social media, send emails and check on the latest news. Passengers can either buy a 30-minute pass, or a pass for the whole duration of the flight. The price of onboard WiFi will vary depending on factors such as the route and length of your flight.
flydubai offers a frequent flyer programme through its partnership with Emirates. This is the Emirates Skywards programme, meaning you can collect miles every time you fly with either airline, increasing your spending opportunities. There are four membership tiers; Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum, each with increasing rewards and benefits such as priority check-in and more checked baggage.
flydubai is not currently part of an airline alliance scheme, however they have codeshare agreements with Air Moldova and Emirates.
Passengers can request any form of special service for their flight by contacting the airline directly, with enough advance before travel.
Passengers who are travelling whilst pregnant are able to fly as normal up to their 28th week. After this date, until week 36, passengers will be able to travel providing they have a letter from their doctor stating they are fit to travel. After the start of week 37, expectant mothers should not travel.
As of 2021, flydubai's fleet consists of an extensive number of Boeing aircraft. This includes Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737 MAX 8, Boeing 737 MAX 9, and the Boeing 737 MAX 10.
Dubai International Airport (DXB), based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the world’s busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic. 2018 saw this airport handle over 89 million passengers, and 2.64 million tonnes of cargo, all from over 408,000 aircraft movements. Flydubai, the budget carrier based in Dubai, is planning a major European expansion for summer 2021. As part of this expansion, the airline will add four new destinations to its route map: Catania, Naples, Malta, and Salzburg. These routes are expected to begin in May. This expansion will grow flydubai’s footprint in the Europe, with a focus on underserved markets. While European Union border restrictions are still in place following the Coronavirus pandemic, the airline hopes that tourism will resume by the summer.

In June (2019) flydubai (FZ) added Sochi (AER) in Russia to the list of its destinations. The airline is now, also, the first airline to operate a route between Dubai (DXB) and Naples (NAP).
