Frontier Flying Service is an American airline headquartered in Fairbanks, Alaska. The airline is based at Fairbanks International Airport in Fairbanks, with hubs in Barrow, Kotzebue, Anchorage and Bethel.

The airline operates a year-round scheduled commuter services and postal services to Alaska, mainly the north of Faribanks and charter services as well to the lower 48 and Canada.

Frontier Flying Service has partnerships with Corvus Airlines, Hageland Aviation or Ravn Alaska — combined, our companies have been flying here for about as long as Alaska has been a state.

Frontier Flying Service operates under the brand Ravn Connect. Frontier does not operate any Era flight numbers as it operates cargo only and “on demand charters.”

Ravn Alaska

Ravn Alaska (formerly Era Alaska) offers scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 100 communities statewide. The airline has been connecting some of the Last Frontier’s most famous destinations, including Anchorage, Fairbanks, Bethel, Cordova, Homer, Valdez, Kenai, Kodiak and beyond.

Ravn Alaska offer service for passenger groups and odd-sized cargo up to 6,000 pounds, and have charter authority for anywhere in our great state, Canada and the Lower 48.

Era Aviation changed to Corvus Airlines in 2014 during the Ravn Alaska rebrand. Corvus Airlines flies under the Ravn Alaska brand. Because Corvus has the reservations systems to offer services of the other sister companies, the Ravn Alaska website and general marketing image is managed by Corvus.

Corvus Airlines, formerly Era Aviation, began operations in 1948 as Carl Brady flew the first commercial helicopter to Alaska to work on a mapping contract for the U.S. government. Corvus Airlines flies schedules throughout the state of Alaska to over 100 destinations. Corvus’ flights 3000-3999 are operated by Hageland Aviation as Ravn Connect.
