GhanaAirlines is a new Ghanaian start-up airline set to launch in 2023. The airline will be the official flag carrier of Ghana and will be backed by Ashanti Airlines, another airline based in Ghana. GhanaAirlines will be the country's first flag carrier airline in 12 years, following the downfall of former national airlines Ghana Airways and Ghana International Airlines.
The airline is expected to operate domestic flights in Ghana as well as regional flights around Africa with a fleet of Dash 8 aircraft. Additionally, it will operate long-haul flights with Boeing 787 Dreamliners. GhanaAirlines' destinations haven't been announced yet, however, it plans to operate flights around West Africa as well as to/from Europe, North America and Asia from Ghana.
GhanaAirlines will be based in Accra, Ghana.

Although this hasn't yet been confirmed, it is highly likely that GhanaAirlines will be based at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana.
Kotoka International Airport served around 3 million passengers in 2019, however, it has seen a significant reduction in passenger numbers since then due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It currently serves as a hub for both domestic and regional flights operated by Africa World Airlines and PassionAir.
The airport has continuously been recognised as the "Best Airport in Africa" for the past 3 years and is experiencing a growth in passenger numbers due to the recent demand for travel after COVID-19.
Airlines that fly to and from this airport include Unity Air.
