Hunan Airlines is an airline that offers domestic flights within China, flying from the Hunan province. The airline has two names — a Chinese name, 湖南航空公司, which translates to 'Hunan Airlines' and an English language name, Air Travel. The name Hunan Airlines translates directly from 湖南航空公司.
The airline is based at Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX) and flies to more than 20 destinations across China. The airline covers destinations in 13 of China's provinces and is one of the top choices for flights to and from the Hunan province.
Hunan Airlines (湖南航空公司) originally launched with the name 红土航空 (translating to red soil). However, when it moved its base to Changsha, Hunan in 2021, the airline rebranded to Hunan Airlines (湖南航空公司) to reflect the move.
The airline is currently the commercial scheduled airline based at Changsha Huanghua International.
Hunan Airlines flies to a variety of destinations, covering more than 20 within China. These include Baoshan, Cangyuan, Guiling, Hailar, Kunming, Libi, Mangshi, Nanchang, Nanjing, Wuxi, Yingkou, Zhuhai and more.

Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX) is the main airport in the Hunan province of China and the hub airport for Hunan Airlines. The airline has used the airport as its hub since it rebranded to Hunan Airlines (湖南航空公司) in 2020 and moved to the airport. Its previous base was at Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG). Changsha airport itself has 2 runways and 2 terminal buildings.
Typically, Hunan Airlines flies in and out of Terminal 2.
Other than Hunan Airlines, no other airlines are based at Changsha International, although, several airlines use the airport, including Qingdao Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Thai Smile, Malindo Air, Joy Air, GX Airlines, Donghai Airlines, China Southern, AirAsia X and more.
