Historia

Kingfisher Red was a low-cost brand run by Kingfisher Airlines and headquartered in 2011. Kingfisher Red was formerly known as Simplifly Deccan and Air Deccan.

Previously Kingfisher Red was India's largest domestic airlines which connects over 70 cities and has more than 540 daily departures. Kingfisher Red operated from its hub airport at Bengaluru International Airport. In octubre 2007, after the acquisition by Kingfisher Airlines, Air Deccan was renamed "Simplifly Deccan". The old logo was replaced by the Kingfisher logo and the same font of Kingfisher Airlines was also used on Simplifly Deccan.

Kingfisher Red flew to Port Blair, Assam, Patna, Chandigarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Chennai.


Loyalty

Passengers earned frequent flyer miles for tickets booked on Kingfisher Red through the King Club loyalty program run by its parent Kingfisher Airlines. In-flight reading material was limited to a special edition of Cine Blitz magazine printed exclusively for Kingfisher Red.

Kingfisher Red had three unique classes of service i.e. Kingfisher first, Kingfisher Class and Kingfisher Red.


Flota

The combined entity of Kingfisher Red Airlines currently operates a fleet of 49 brand new Airbus A-320 family aircraft and 30 ATR aircraft. The fleet consisted of Airbus A-320 and ATR 72 aircraft.
