Historia

Kulula.com, sometimes simply known as Kulula, (from the Nguni languages of Zulu and Xhosa, meaning It's easy) is a South African no-frills airline currently operating on major domestic routes. The airline's main hub airports OR Tambo International Airport and Lanseria International Airport, both just outside of Johannesburg.

The airline is currently headquartered at Bonaero Park, Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng. The airline’s parent company is Comair, an airline also based in South Africa operating scheduled services on domestic services as a British Airways franchise. From junio 2013, serves the following destinations; Cape Town, Durban, East London, George and Johannesburg.

In marzo 2019, the airline announced a new interline agreement with big-player Delta Airlines. This will greatly increase the connectivity between the United States and South Africa. It will work to strengthen Delta’s appearance in South Africa and vice versa.

Flota

The Kulula fleet includes two Boeing 737-400 and nine Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Kalua's fleet is famous for its creative 'Flying 101' airline livery, which features humorous text labelling different parts of the aircraft.
