LATAM Colombia Airlines is a Colombian airline based at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia that is part of the LATAN Airlines Group.

The airline operates international, cargo and regional domestic services and began operations as LAN Colombia in 2011.

LATAM Airlines Colombia's destinations includes Barranquilla, Bogota, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cancun, Cartagena, Cucuta, Leticia, Lima, Medellin, Miami, Monteria, Oranjestad, Pereira, San Andreas Island, Santa Marta, Valledupar, Villavicencio and Yopal.

LATAM Colombia Airlines is the second largest air carrier in Colombia. LATAM Colombia's fleet consisted of Airbus A319-100 and A320-200s.

In octubre 2010, it was announced that 98% of the shares in the previous airline AIRES had been acquired by Chilean carrier LATAM Airlines.

In octubre 2013, LATAM Airlines became an affiliate member of Oneworld alliance.

LATAM Colombia Airlines was originally known as LAN Colombia and previously Aerovías de Integración Regional S.A (AIRES).

Baggage Allowances

Carry-on Baggage

LATAM Colombia Airlines carry-on baggage allowance is as follows:

Economy class maximum weight of 8kg (17 lb), with routes with origin or destination in Brazil having a maximum weight allowance of 10kg (22 lb).

Premium Economy and Premium Business maximum weight of 16kg (35 lb).

Maximum dimensions per carry-on item are 55cm (21 in) x 35cm (13 in) x 25cm (9 in), including handle, pockets and wheels.

Checked Baggage

LATAM Colombia Airlines free checked baggage allowance is dependent on the fare and route.

It is highly recommended that passengers ensure that they check the baggage allowance for their fare, and book any additional baggage as soon as possible.

The maximum permitted dimensions per checked bag is 23kg (50 lb) and 158 linear cms (width + depth + height).



Economy Class

LATAM offers economy on all flights, which is the affordable option.

A full inflight menu is available to order on both short and long haul flights.

On long-haul flights, passengers can also enjoy an inflight entertainment system. All economy seats come equipped with back-of-seat tv’s.

What are Business Class Seats Like?

LATAM's Business Class seats can recline into fully-flat beds.

Each seat is equipped with a touch control pad, used to adjust the position of the head, back and foot of the seat. For extra privacy, each seat also has a personal shutter, an personal workspace.

The Business Class cabin is set out in a 1 x 2 x 1 formation. All passengers have direct access to the aisle.

Seats are 23-inches wide and, when flat, seats are 76 inches in length.

LATAM Group to add new routes to Europe

LATAM Airlines Group has revealed plans to offer its customers new routes to destinations throughout Europe. As part of a larger strategy growth plan, LATAM will launch a new flight between Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS), Portugal, and São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), Brazil, which will begin operations on 3 septiembre 2018. This flight will operate five times a week and carry passengers on a Boeing 767 aircraft. Additionally, LATAM Group will fly between Munich Airport (MUC) and São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport early next year. With these two new routes, nine different European destinations will now be home to LATAM services.


LATAM Airlines Group CEO, Enrique Cueto, stated with these new flights LATAM continue to give Latin American's more opportunity to see the rest of the world. LATAM has launched 30 new routes since 2016 which have covered a lot of area across the world.
