Lone Star Air is a startup airline, and will be the new national carrier of the Republic of Liberia. The airline was established in a partnership between the Liberian Government and Ghanaian carrier, Goldstar Air. The airline will have the following motto: ‘the wings of Liberia’.
The airline will be a low-cost carrier, providing affordable flights within the Republic of Liberia and to neighbouring countries in West Africa, including Ghana.
Liberia’s national airline previously ceased operations 30 years ago, in 1990, so this revival will be very exciting for the country’s economy. The government hopes that reestablishing the airline will help foster more tourism across Liberia. There will be a heavy focus on tourist routes.
Lone Star Air is a planned airline and has yet to commence flights.
Flights are expected to begin in 2021.

The airline has yet to commence flights, but has stated that it proposes to initially operate from Monrovia to eleven destinations in West Africa: Abidjan, Abuja, Accra, Banjul, Bissau, Conakry, Dakar, Freetown, Lagos, Ouagadougou and Sao Tome.
Following these initial destinations, the airline hopes to soon widen its network and connectivity through codeshare and interline agreements.
