Baggage Policy

Max Air has different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.

Equipaje de Mano

Max Air passengers are permitted to bring one piece of carry-on baggage of no more than 10kg on international flights and no more than 8kg on domestic flights. The maximum dimensions allowed are 56cm x 45cm x 25cm.

If you're travelling with an infant, you'll be allowed to check in a stroller and a carry-on bag with all the necessary items required for the duration of the flight.

Equipaje Facturado

Passengers are given a free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg per person. This is included within the price of the flight ticket.

If a passenger's bag exceeds either baggage allowance, they will have to pay an excess baggage fee in order to carry their bag on the plane.

Max Air has the right to refuse baggage if it's not safe to fly with the extra weight.

Excess Baggage

Max Air will charge you extra fees if you exceed the baggage allowance. Please note that the total number of baggage permitted per passenger is 10 pieces.

Cabin Classes

Max Air has just one cabin class, the Economy Class cabin.

Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation on all flights.

In-flight Entertainment & WIFI

Max Air doesn't have an in-flight entertainment system of any WIFI on board. Sometimes, the airline will provide passengers with an in-flight magazine but this is not standard for all flights.

Passengers are welcome to bring their own electronic personal devices on board for entertainment. However, with larger equipment such as a laptop or tablet, passengers must inform the cabin crew once the flight has taken off.

Food & Drink

Passengers are offered an onboard snack box that comes is packed with a savoury snack (e.g bread roll/sandwich) and a sweet snack (e.g doughnut or cake), plus a fruit juice. in addition to this, passengers are given a bottle of water.

Check-in

Max Air passengers can check-in online and at the airport. We advise that you check in for your Max Air flight online to avoid long queues at the airport.

Web Check-in

Passengers can check-in online via 'Manage my Booking' which is located at the top of the page. Online check-in is open from 24 hours before scheduled flight departure time. Passengers will need to enter their surname and booking reference in order to check-in.

Passengers can also check-in at the airport for their Max Air flight. This can be done by visiting one of the airline check-in counters with your passport (or any government issued-ID for domestic flights) and flight ticket.

On domestic flights, airport check-in opens two hours before scheduled flight departure time and closes 30 minutes before.

On international flights, airport check-in opens four hours before scheduled flight departure time and closes 70 minutes before.

Special Services

Max Air offers a number of special services for any passengers who may require special assistance.

Unaccompanied Minors

Max Air allows children between the age of 5 and 12 years to travel alone. Unaccompanied minors will only be allowed on board if the necessary forms by a parent or guardian is completed.

Wheelchair Assistance

If you or a member of your party require a wheelchair, please contact Max Air at least 24 hours before your flight’s departure. Alternatively, you can request a wheelchair at the airport.

Infants & Children

Infants between the age of 8 days to 24 months can travel on an adult's lap. If the infant reaches the age of 2 years prior to the return journey, you may be subject to extra fees.

Infants aged 0 to 7 days old are not permitted to fly with Max Air due to health and safety regulations.

Max Air mainly flies to destinations within Nigeria but it does fly internationally too. This includes destinations such as Kano, Abuja, Bauchi, Lagos, Owerri, Yola, Jeddah, Madinah and more.
