About Merpati Nusantara Airlines

Merpati Nusantara Airlines was an airline based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It offered flights to over 80 domestic and international destinations.

The airline was first founded in 1962 and operated under 'Merpati'. It has 2 hubs - one at Ngurah Rai International Airport and another at Juanda International Airport. It also had a base at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Merpati unfortunately suspended operations in 2014 due to financial and regulatory issues. It did have plans to relaunch although it eventually had its licence revoked in 2022 and was completely dissolved by the beginning of 2023.
