Miami International Airport, often abbreviated to its IATA code MIA, is the primary airport serving the Miami area, Florida, USA.
Over 1,000 daily flights depart from MIA to 167 domestic and international destinations. The airport serves as South Florida's primary airport for long-haul international flights and is the largest gateway between the United States to Latin America.
MIA is a hub for American Airlines and World Atlantic Airlines, and acts a key gateway to Latin America; the airport is also a domestic hub for American Airlines' regional affiliate American Eagle. Miami International Airport also serves as a focus city for Avianca, Frontier Airlines, and LATAM.

The airport is located 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Downtown Miami, in metropolitan area of Miami. The airport is located between the cities of Miami, Hialeah, Doral, and Miami Springs.

The airport has four runways: 8L/26R, 8R/26L, 9/27, and 12/30
Terminals
MIA is shaped like a horseshoe, with a Main Terminal and six concourses (D, E, F, F, H and J) divided between three sections: North Terminal (Blue), including concourse D; The Central Terminal (Yellow), including concourse E, F and G; and South Terminal (Red), which includes concourse H and J. It is worth noting that concourses A, B and C belongs to the North Terminal Development project.
Levels:
There are three levels in the terminals. To move between terminals, take the moving walkways on Level 3. The Skytrain can take you from one end of the mile-long concourse to the other, with stations at four locations.
Level one: arrivals and Baggage Claim. Also find ground transportation options to and from downtown Miami.
Level two: departures, check-in and ticketing. Concourses D, E, F, F, H and J can be found in this level, as well as hotel shuttles and the economy park and ride shuttle.
Level three: rental Car Center and Parking can be found on level three. Some international arrivals, the ones from Concourses D, E and F, are also processed in the North Terminal level 3.
Terminals:
Norther Terminal (Blue): North Terminal is home of Concourse D, the main hub for Caribbean and Latin America services. Airlines: American Airlines and American Eagle.
Central Terminal (Yellow): Central Terminal hosts Concourses E, F and G. International airlines tend to use the central terminal, including British Airways, Iberia, Qatar, Aeroflot, Air Italy, Eurowings.
South Terminal (Red): South Terminal handles Concourse H and Concourse J. Airlines include Aerolineas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air France, and many more.

How to get to Miami International Airport
MIA Mover Train:
The MIA Mover refers to the airport's automated people mover system, which moves passengers between the Miami Rental Car Center and MIA Airport.
By Metrobus:
Miami Airport Metrobus serves MIA Airport with 7 routes: 7, 37, 42, 57, 110, 150 and 238. All services depart from the Miami Airport Metrorail Station.
By Metrorail:
MIA Airport is served by Metrorail Orange Line. Passengers will need to take the MIA Mover to get to Miami Airport Station, from where Metrorail services depart.
By Taxi:
Transfer to downtown Miami within 15 minutes.
