About Myrtle Beach International Airport
Myrtle Beach International Airport (IATA: MYR) is an international airport located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, United States. This airport is county-owned by Horry County, but is for the public use.
The airport was first constructed in 1976, where it was known as Myrtle Beach Jetport until 9189. The airport didn't become an international airport until 1996, which was the same year that the new international terminal was opened.
The airport does not have any airlines hubbed at it, but it is a focus city for Spirit Airlines and also (seasonally) Allegiant Air.
