Nantucket Airlines first operated in 1989 and its first flight was between Boston and Provincetown. Initially, the airline has been operating with ATR 42s and gradually the airline moved its fleet type to operate the Cessna 402, carrying nearly 600 thousand passengers in a year.
In 1994, Nantucket Airlines merged with Cape Air, becoming a sister airline of the company. It's now a regional airline operating in the United States offering both charter and scheduled services to regions like Cape Cod & the Island, Northeast, Midwest, Montana and the Caribbean.
