Nantucket Airlines first operated in 1989 and its first flight was between Boston and Provincetown. Initially, the airline has been operating with ATR 42s and gradually the airline moved its fleet type to operate the Cessna 402, carrying nearly 600 thousand passengers in a year.
In 1994, Nantucket Airlines merged with Cape Air, becoming a sister airline of the company. It's now a regional airline operating in the United States offering both charter and scheduled services to regions like Cape Cod & the Island, Northeast, Midwest, Montana and the Caribbean.
Nantuckeet Airlines operates flights for Cape Air whilst also flying many charter flights for other clients. Nantucket Airlines is flying to 35 destinations in Northeast, Midwest, Eastern Montana and others. The full details are listed below:

For flights sold by Cape Air: All passengers receive one piece of carry-on baggage as well as a personal item such as a backpack, a purse and a laptop.
Carry-on baggage cannot exceed 45” in size and 20lbs in weight as it may not fit in the cabin space. Items that cannot be stored in the carry-on baggage should be stored in the checked baggage. Depending on the space available within the cabin, the airline may ask passengers to transport its carry-on baggage in the cargo hold.
The personal item must fit within 36 linear inches.
Standard Allowance: Passengers can carry a piece of carry-on baggage on to the aircraft as well as a personal item. Carry-on baggage must fit within the dimensions of 20lbs and 45 linear inches and the personal item must not exceed 36 linear inches.
All carry-on baggage will be stored in baggage compartments as there are no overhead lockers or storage under the seat. Therefore, passengers must strictly follow the airline baggage rules. Baggage violating the baggage rules could be refused to board.
All passengers receive a piece of free checked baggage allowance. Checked baggage cannot weigh over 50lbs and no larger than 62 linear inches.
The airline reserves the rights to refuse any baggage exceeding the baggage limit to board. Any baggage exceeding 70lbs won’t be accepted due to international health and safety regulations.

Most passengers are entitled to check-in online unless you are an unaccompanied minor, travelling with pets or customers travelling with paper tickets.
Online check-in opens 24 hours before scheduled departure time and it’s available via the Cape Air website. Online check-in initiates with the passenger’s booking reference and the e-ticket number.
Passengers must check-in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers to arrive at the airport two hours before the scheduled departure time to avoid any unexpected delays. When passengers arrive at the airport, they should report to the airline check-in counters as soon as possible.
Nantucket Airlines hasn't got a frequent flyer programme but they have a product called TravelPass, which is essentially a ticket that allows passengers to purchase 10 one-way tickets or 5 return tickets on selected routes at one go. Travel passes are purchased via the Cape Air website as it's a Cape Air product. Visit the Cape Air website for more information.
