About NovAir

Novair is a newly established scheduled passenger airline, based at Yerevan Zvartnots (EVN), in Armenia. The startup airline plans to develop both a domestic network within Armenia and to enter the international market.

NovAir LLC was established in 2020, after the received its Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Armenian Aviation Authority just days after its registration in octubre 2020. The airline belongs to the former Deputy Head of Armenia’s General Department of Civil Aviation, Aram Marutyan.

The airline’s initial fleet, an L-410 aircraft, will be transferred to Novair from Atlantis Armenian Airlines — which was an airline previously established by Marutyan’s company, but, after the company sold Atlantis Armenian Airlines in 2020, the aircraft was transferred to the newly established Novair. The company also hopes to purchase an Airbus A320 in 2021.

Although Novair is a newly established airline, planned routes are very similar to that of Atlantis Armenian Airlines, which never actually commenced operations. The carrier will commence domestic Armenian flights (initially Yerevan-Kapan), with plans to expand to international destinations in Europe by mid 2021. As well as scheduled passenger flights, Novair will offer private charter operations.
