Domestic Economy Class
On domestic flights in Economy Class, you would be travelling on a Boeing 737, an A330-200 or a Dash 8. Regardless of the aircraft type, you will receive generous legroom onboard and a reclining seat with blanket and cotton pillow available. On an A330-200 you would enjoy facilities lie shared PC power access, USB ports and more.
In-flight meals are included in your ticket, so enjoy the onboard menu when you fly with the airline. Depending on your flight departure time, you may or may not be offered alcoholic beverages.
Domestic Business Class
Business class passengers can enjoy priority check-in, security, boarding when travelling internally in Australia. Passengers are also entitled to lounge access, so you can be fully relaxed and stress-free before your flight.
Onboard the aircraft, a quality in-flight menu is available with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. In-flight menus are different from the Economy passengers. In-flight entertainment is available via the Qantas app. The only thing you need to do is to download the app before the flight and connect to the WiFi network once onboard.

Qantas Domestic Flight Baggage
Checked
On domestic flights, checked baggage must not exceed 140cm (55") in the sum of the three dimensions (length + width + height). Economy passengers are entitled to 1 x 23kg checked bag, whereas business class 2 x 32kg of checked bags.
Carry-On
Carry-on baggage allowance varies due to aircraft restrictions.
Dash 8 services: Passengers are entitled to one piece of carry-on baggage weighing up to 7kg and don't exceed a maximum of 48cm x 34cm x 23cm in three dimensions.
Other domestic services: Passengers are entitled to two-piece of carry-on baggage weighing 14kg in total onboard. Each piece of carry-on baggage cannot exceed 10kg and exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm in three dimensions.

Do I need a passport for Qantas domestic flights?
If you are an Australian resident, you'll only need valid government-issued photo identification, such as a driving licence or social security card. If you are a foreign traveller, please travel with a valid passport. It's recommended that you have at least six months buffer on your passport before it expires.
What Economy fare classes does Qantas offer on domestic flights?
There are three types of Economy fare available for customers depending on the customer needs. Not only do these fares determine the flexibility of the ticket, but it also determines the number of points that the ticket return to your frequent flyer membership. The three types of tickets are:
- Red e-Deal: Cheapest ticket class out of the three but tickets are non-refundable and changes would come with a fee. Also earns the least points for your frequent flyer membership.
- Flex: Changes are allowed at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time, flights are refundable but a small admin fee would be charged.
- Economy Classic Reward: Ticket is only available on selected flights only.
