Zambian Airlines is a new Zambian air carrier, operating scheduled passenger flights from Zambia. The airline was officially incorporated in mayo 2020, and is the sister company to Royal Air Charters, which (since 2007) has been Zambia’s premier provider of private air travel.
The airline aims to offer the ‘best-in-class’, providing the highest level of service and ensuring all passengers have a premium experience. The airline has a jet capability for fifty passengers, onboard its Embraer 145LR.
As of 2021, Royal Zambian Airlines currently operates scheduled flights between Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, and Johannesburg, in South Africa. The inaugural flight took place in diciembre 2020.

As of 2021, Royal Zambian Airlines’s flight schedule covers the route between Lusaka (LUN) and Johannesburg O.R. Tampo (JNB), and vice versa. The flight takes approximately an hour and 50 minutes, and is operated multiple times a week.

The airline only provides one cabin, which has standard seating.
The airline’s aim is to make its brand synonymous with luxury and reliability, providing customers with a high-class experience. This includes generous baggage allowance, and greater ticket flexibility. The airline allows customers to change their travel plans up to 24 hours before departure, with flexible tickets.
The carrier’s flight attendants will show you to your seat, where you can sit back and relax in comfortable, padded seating. Seats are configured in a 2-1 formation. The cabin has been designed and re-fitted to provide a light, bright, and comfortable flying experience.
During the 1 hour and 50 minute flight, all passengers will be served exceptional, complimentary meals, as well as hot or cold beverages.
WiFi is not currently available onboard the aircraft.
The airline does not currently offer online check-in.
Passengers are advised to arrive 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to flight departure. Check-in closes 1 hour prior to departure. In Johannesburg, the airline’s check-in point is located at Terminal A in O.R. Tambo International Airport. From Lusaka, Royal Zambian Airlines operates flights from The Main Terminal at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
The airline offers a generous 30kg of complimentary checked baggage allowance, which may be spread across 2 pieces of luggage. No single piece of luggage may weigh more than 23kg.
All passengers are allowed one piece of 8kg carry-on luggage, which will need to be measured and weighed at check-in, to ensure it fits either under the seats or in the overhead storage compartments.
The airline will operate scheduled passenger flights with its medium-range Embraer 145LR, which has a capacity of 50 passengers. It will also be supported by the carrier’s 30-seater twin-turboprop Embraer 120 ER.
Lusaka Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) is a large international airport serving the city of Lusaka, in Zambia. It is located about 16 miles northeast of the city centre of Lusaka. As well as being a hub for Royal Zambian Airlines, the airport is a hub for Proflight Zambia and Mahogany Air.
