About Sacramento International Airport
Sacramento International Airport (IATA: SMF) is an international airport, located in Sacramento, California, USA. This airport serves the Greater Sacramento Area, and is the gateway to many attractions in Northern California, such as Yosemite National Park, Napa Wine Country, The River Delta and the Gold Discovery Site Sutter's Mill.
The airport is a focus city for Southwest Airlines, which carries about half of the airport's total passengers.
The airport was first opened in 1967 as Sacramento Metropolitan Airport, where it had one 8600ft runway. The airport was renamed to its current form, Sacramento International Airport, in 1998, when a new terminal was also opened.

Terminals
Terminal A
Terminal A has 13 gates, covering 15,000 sq m of ground and was opened in 1998. The terminal contains a newly modernised food court. The following airlines currently operate flights out of this terminal: Air Canada, American, Delta and United.
Terminal B
Terminal B has 19 gates, and was constructed in 1967 as the main terminal building at the time. The terminal is home to many airlines including Aeromexico, Contour, JetBlue, Sun Country and Volaris.

SMF is easily accessible by road via the Airport Blvd on the Interstate 5, exit 528.
By Public Transport
The Yolobus number 42 connects the airport to the local areas of Sacramento, Woodland and Davis.
The Sacramento Regional Transit will also be a good public transport option in the future, but the construction and implementation is yet to be complete.
