New CEO

Following the retirement of former Managing Director, John Buckley, the airline welcomed a new CEO this month, Alex Avedi. Avedi joined after having a position as General Manager of Operations and Safety at the Kenya Airports Authority. The newly employed CEO holds a number of certificates in aviation, most notably a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Aviation Management.

Speaking on the new appointment, Chairman Mbuvi Ngunze, said they wish Alex Avedi all the best in his new role. Ngunze added that the company is positive that with Avedi leading, the airline will continue to grow throughout Kenya.

Alex Avedi will be filling some big shoes — John Buckley is a co-founder of the airline and was Managing Director for just under 15 years.
