SalamAir is a low-cost airline based in Oman and headquartered at Muscat International Airport. The airline flies to over 30 destinations across the Middle East, Central Asia and parts of Southeast Asia.

Flights from SalamAir launched at the beginning of 2017, with an initial service between Muscat and Salalah. It flew its first international flight just one month later with service between Muscat and Dubai, one of its most popular routes to date.

The airline is the first low-cost carrier in Oman and the premier airline for low-cost flights in, out and throughout the country.


SalamAir flies to many destinations, including across Asia, including Salalah, Doha, Jeddah, Dubai, Tehran and Dhaka.

Equipaje de Mano

Flights with SalamAir do not include baggage within the price of the ticket on basic fares. However, you can book baggage on your flight after or during the booking process. If passengers choose the Friendly or Benefit fare, they're given 20 kg of free checked baggage. No item of baggage can weigh more than 160cm, when combining the width + depth + length, and must not weigh more than 32kg per individual item.

Check-In Information

Web Check-in

SalamAir online check-in is available on the SalamAir website. Passengers must click the check-in tab and enter their booking reference and their last name to locate their booking and check-in. Online check-in is only available on select flights.

Check-in en el aeropuerto

Passengers who can't or choose not to check-in online must complete check-in at the airport. This can be done by visiting one of the check-in agents at the airline check-in desk at the airport. The designated check-in area should be clearly marked with the airline name and logo. For the exact check-in area, please refer to the departure information board or the airport staff.

At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers to arrive at the airport two hours before scheduled departure time to avoid any unexpected delays. Failure to comply with the airline's check-in deadline may result in the loss of fare.

Clase Económica

The Economy Class cabin is the only class fare that SalamAir offers. Economy Class offers a professional service, with a modern cabin, particularly on A320neo.


Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation. Seats give standard legroom and comfort for A320 Economy Class seats.

Class Fare

Within Economy Class, passengers can choose three different fares:


Passengers are given an allowance of 7 kg of carry-on baggage.


Passengers are given an allowance of 7 kg of carry-on baggage and 20 kg of checked baggage.


Passengers are given an allowance of 7 kg of carry-on baggage, 20 kg of checked baggage, a free meal and free seat-selection.

Entretenimiento en vuelo

SalamAir doesn't offer in-flight entertainment.


There's no WIFI network on SalamAir flights.


Only passengers flying in the Benefit class fare are entitled to a complimentary meal. Passengers flying in Light and Friendly will have to purchase their meal on-board once in-flight.

SalamAir offers passengers a range of light snacks and drinks, including sandwiches and rolls, with both meat and vegetarian options.

Frequent Flyer

More On Air

SalamAir's frequent flyer program, More On Air, gives frequent flyers on SalamAir the opportunity to enjoy a range of benefits each time they fly on the airline. These benefits can range from cheap flights redeemed from air miles to an additional baggage allowance.

Airline Alliance

SalamAir isn't a member of any airline alliance.


SalamAir has a fleet of A320neo narrowbody aircraft. These Airbus 320neos replaced their old Airbus 320 aircraft, which enhanced the company's fuel and operational efficiency.

Muscat International Airport, previously known as Seeb International Airport, is the main international airport of Oman and the hub for SalamAir. The airport was first opened in 1973 and now serves millions of passengers a year from its two terminals and two runways.

Muscat Airport is also the hub for Oman’s national airline Oman Air, and also operates flights for a number of airlines including Air India, Emirates, Kish Air, PIA and Swiss International Air Lines.
