SkyWest Airlines is a North American contractor airline which is headquartered in Utah, United States. The airline operates flights on behalf of Alaska Airlines, American Eagle, Delta Connection and United Express and flies to more than 200 destinations for these carriers in the US, Canada and Mexico. While the airline uses and maintains its own planes, it flies using the schedule, branding and company standards of the airline that it's contracted by. This means that the service that SkyWest offers to passengers is identical to that of the airline that it's flying on behalf of.
The airline operates over 2,400 flights each day and is the largest airline in the US by number of passengers carried when combining all of its flights from each individual airline that it operates for. The airline primarily offers flights from each of Alaska's, American Airlines', Delta's and United's hub airports to smaller airports across North America.
Flybe is one of seven carriers that fly on under the American Eagle brand, with the other airlines being Piedmont Airlines, PSA Airlines, Compass Airways, MESA Airlines, Envoy Air and Republic Airline.
SkyWest Airlines has codeshare agreements with Delta, United, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and US Airways. These code-sharing agreements allow SkyWest Airlines to operate as United Express, Delta Connection, American Eagle, and Alaska Airlines brands. Delta, United, Alaska Airlines, and American Airlines provide reservations, ticket sales, ground support services, and gate access while SkyWest Airlines handles the flight operations.
SkyWest Airlines has a fleet of regional jets, with each plane having the capacity to carry between 50–80 passengers. The airline has over 500 aircraft within its fleet, making it the largest regional airline in the US. SkyWest flies using aircraft models manufactured by Bombardier, Embraer and Mitsubishi.
Sky West operates flights to over 200 cities in the US on behalf of Alaska, Delta, United and American Eagle. Common destinations that it flies to for every airline include Albuquerque, Boise, Burbank, Fresno, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Reno, Milwaukee, Omaha and Tuscon.
In addition, the airline flies to more than 10 international destinations in Canada and Mexico.
Overall, the airline flies to more than 80 destinations for American Eagle, more than 30 for Alaska Airlines, over 160 each for Delta and United.
