The airline carrier operates out of its hub at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport (YNG) in Vienna Township, Trumbull County, US. The airline was founded in 1993 as Sun Jet International and it started as a low-fare public charter airline in Largo, Florida. The airline unexpectedly stopped operating in noviembre 2004. The airline was once featured on a reality TV show called 'The Simple Life'. The airline's aircraft featured the 'Sun King' logo which was previously used by the original National Airlines which was placed on the aircraft tails.

Southeast Airlines has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy.

Seats are positioned in a 2 x 3 formation depending on the aircraft, ensuring that each passenger will sit by a window, aisle, or between two passengers.
