About SpiceJet

SpiceJet is an Indian low-cost airline, headquartered in Gurgaon, India. SpiceJet was founded in 2004, previously named as Royal Airways, and started operating in mayo 2005. The airline is one of the largest airlines in the country in terms of the number of domestic passengers carried. Before the airline was rebranded as SpiceJet, the airline was owned by an air taxi provider ModiLuft. Under the new ownership in 2014, the airline restructured its operations to become a low-cost carrier in India. Flights between Delhi and Mumbai were the first route that started the new era. As the airline developed, it became the third-largest low-cost carrier in the country.

Since then, its operation has developed and it is now operating to 59 domestic and 16 international destinations (as of octubre 2020). To achieve this, the airline is operating a fleet of Boeing 737, Bombardier Q400 aircraft and De Havilland Canada Twin Otter seaplanes as well as leasing A330neos for the London operations starting in diciembre 2020.

Top Tip: You can book SpiceJet flights with us using local payment providers including Paytm and paying in Indian Rupee (INR).
