About Sunair Aviation
Sunair Aviation, not to be confused with the Scandinavian airline Sun Air, is an airline based in New Zealand. The airline operates scheduled services around New Zealand's North Island.
This airline was founded in 1991 as a commuter operator in Motiti Island. However, it didn't commence flying operations under the name Sunair until 2006.

Sunair Aviation is based at Tauranga Airport which is located by Tauranga Harbour in the Mount Maunganui area. The airline serves around 280 000 passengers each year. The only other airline that operates out of the airport includes Air New Zealand.
