Brno–Tuřany Airport is an airport located in Brno, Czech Republic. It's the second busiest airport in the country, serving around 470,000 passengers in 2022 through the Brno-Turany passenger terminal.
The airport was built in the 1950s as a replacement for the old Brno airport in Slatina. In the 1980s, the Czechslovak air force gained ownership of the airport resulting in a reduction in civil operations. In 1989, after the fall of communism, the airport returned to civil use and is now being operated by the state-owned Czech Airport Authority.
Brno–Tuřany Airport is a hub for VAN AIR Europe. It also serves other airlines such as Air Montenegro, Ryanair and Smartwings.
