Each fare-paying passengers are entitled to a personal item including items such as a backpack and a handbag for free. The personal item must not be larger than 40cm x 35cm x 25cm and it must fit under the seat in front.

Passengers can also take a carry-on baggage onboard the aircraft with a fee. The carry-on luggage must fit within 12kg and 55cm x 45cm x 25cm. It must not contain any probited items including any fluid exceeding 100ml. Fluid in the carry-on luggage must be placed within a plastic bag for security check.

Carry-on baggage can be added during the booking process, and it's recommended that passengers add their baggage online as the rate is usually cheaper online than at the airport.

Checked Baggage can be added to the booking during the booking if you book with Alternative Airlines. Checked baggage should only weigh up to 20kg and must not be larger than 158 cm in the sum of three dimensions.

Any baggage weighing more than 32kg will not be accepted by the airline.

Online check-in is available on the Viva Air Peru website. It's available from 48 hours up to three hours before the scheduled departure time for international flights and up to two hours before for domestic flights.

Once online check-in is completed, passengers will obtain their boarding pass for boarding.

All passengers are eligible for online check-in except for passengers flying to the US. Any passengers who didn't complete online check-in must check-in at the airport.

Check-in at the airport comes with a small fee for Viva Air Peru. Prices differ on the type of routes the passenger is flying on. Passengers flying to the US will not need to pay a fee.

Passengers must not check-in after the check-in deadline or the airline reserves the right to refuse to board the passenger.
