Wizz Air has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage. As standard, you're allowed 1 free personal item free of charge when flying with Wizz Air.
When flying with the airline, each passenger can bring one piece of cabin baggage, which must weigh no more than 10kg, and measure no more than 40 x 30 x 20cm. Passengers with a Wizz Priority ticket are allowed to carry 1 additional item of cabin baggage, with a maximum weight of 10kg and max dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23cm.
Its tickets do not include checked baggage in the ticket price, however, these can be purchased for an additional fee. Passengers can buy up to 6 check-in bags, weighing either 10, 20 or 32kg. These items of checked baggage can not exceed 149 x 119 x 171 cm for its linear dimensions.
Wizz Air only has 1 cabin class - Economy. However, passengers can purchase different ticket fares which give them extra baggage, priority check-in etc.
There is only one cabin class onboard Wizz Aeroplanes; Economy. This provides a standard flight, with comfortable room and seats onboard. Passengers can personalise their flying experience with the different fare bundles.
Onboard snacks, light meals, and beverages are available during the flights (charges will apply). Passengers can also upgrade to priority seating for additional benefits such as priority boarding.
Wizz only offers one cabin class. However, passengers can choose from the following ticket fares:
Wizz Priority passengers can enjoy priority check-in, priority boarding, extra cabin baggage of the normal carry-on bag and an additional trolley bag.
Passengers with a Wizz GO fare are permitted two cabin bags and 20kg of checked baggage. In addition, they can select their seat, check-in at the airport and have priority boarding and check-in, all free of charge
Passengers also get the full cabin baggage allowance of two items, plus an additional 32kg of checked luggage. They also have free airport check-in, priority check-in, priority boarding, free premium seat selection, and flexible tickets through Wizz Flex.
There are no premium economy seats on any flights. Passengers can choose to upgrade their fare to Wizz Plus where they will be able to select a premium seat for their flight.
The airline does not currently offer a business class option on board.
As the airline is a low-cost airline and one way in which they cut back on costs is by not providing the luxury of flying. For example, they do not provide any in-seat TVs for entertainment. There is, however, an in-flight magazine for passengers entertainment. In addition, passengers are welcome to bring their own personal devices where they can watch TV shows or listen to music.
The airline does not currently have any WiFi onboard their flights, either paid or free.
Although no food is provided as part of the ticket cost, passengers can purchase food onboard via the Wizz Cafe. From this menu, passengers can enjoy hot drinks, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, as well as food such as snacks and sandwiches.
Wizz Air has different check-in opening and closing times depending on whether your flight is domestic or international, as well as your method of check-in.
Online check-in is available from 30 days before your flight for passengers who have bought a seat during the booking process, or 48 hours prior for other customers, and closes 3 hours before departure. This is free for passengers to do, and passengers should aim to print their boarding pass ready for travel.
Passengers can check-in for free on their mobiles via the Wizz Air mobile app. This is a good option for passengers who wish to use a mobile boarding pass when travelling.
Airport check-in is available for a fee, and will usually open 2 hours before and close 40 minutes before your flight is due to depart. Be aware that at some airports the check-in will close 60 minutes before the flight, so be sure not to miss the deadline by checking your airport.
Wizz Air's frequent flyer programme is called 'WIZZ Discount Club'.
Wizz Air has a frequent flyer membership programme called WIZZ Discount Club. This allows frequent flyers to get benefits. The membership costs €39.99 a year, with the rewards, included discounts on flights and bags.
It is not currently part of any airline alliance.
If you require special assistance for your flight, you need to inform the airline directly at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure time.
Passengers who have reduced mobility may need to travel with an escort if they are unable to lift themselves without help or reach an emergency exit unaided, communicate and understand crew about safety procedures, put on a life jacket or oxygen mask. This escort must be over 16 years old and able to assist you physically in an emergency.
Passengers in wheelchairs can arrange airport assistance from the check-in to the gate and onboard.
Passengers with visual or hearing impairments can use the airline's meet and assist service, which will help with the check-in process, through security and to the departure gate where you get to board before everyone else. Cabin crew till help assist you throughout the flight.
