In 2015, Yangtze River Express rebranded to Suparna Airlines.

About Yangtze River Express

Before Yangtze River Express became Suparna Airlines, it offered both passenger and cargo services around China, Russia and several European cities.

Yangtze River Express was first founded in 2003 and was the second cargo airline in China at the time. The airline took over all cargo operations from Hainan Airlines, China Xinhua Airlines, Chang An Airlines and Shanxi Airlines.

In 2017, Yangtze River Express rebranded to Suparna Airlines.

Destinos

Yangtze River Express operated domestic passenger flights to a selection of cities including Guyan, Sanya and Zhuhai. It also occasionally flew to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Equipaje permitido

Yangtze River Express didn't officially announce its baggage allowance policies however it is highly likely that it had the same baggage rules as Suparna Airlines who is still operating today.

Equipaje de Mano

For domestic flights in China, Yangtze River Express may have allowed passengers to bring 1 piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 5kg and not exceeding the maximum dimensions of 20 x 40 x 55cm.

For flights originating from the US, only 1 piece of carry-on baggage may have been permitted per passenger - this could not weigh more than 10kg and not exceed the linear dimensions of 115cm (length + width + depth).

Equipaje Facturado

Passengers flying with Yangzte River Express may have been allowed 1 piece of checked baggage weighing no more than 23kg.

Información de registro

Yangtze River Express did not announce its check-in information itself however it is highly likely it shared the same check-in procedures as Suparna Airlines who are still in operation today.

Online Check-In

Online check-in may have been available via Yangzte River Express' official website, however, this hasn't been confirmed.

Check-in en el aeropuerto

Airport check-in would have been available for flights operated by Yangzte River Express. Passengers flying with the airline could check in via the dedicated check-in counters. These may have opened 2 hours-90 minutes before departure and closed 45-30 minutes before takeoff.

Cabin Classes

It is highly unlikely that Yangzte River Express offered multiple cabin classes onboard due to its focus on cargo operations rather than scheduled passenger operations.

The airline has now rebranded to Suparna Airlines who offer 3 cabin classes - Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class.

Entretenimiento en vuelo

It's unknown whether Yangtze River Express offered in-flight entertainment options onboard. Passengers were advised to bring their own forms of entertainment such as a book to read or a movie to watch on their personal electronic devices to keep them entertained during their journey.

It's not certain whether Yangtze River Express offered food or drink onboard, however, an in-flight menu may have been available letting passengers purchase snacks and beverages during their journey.
